RE: Christine Baker v. Trans Union, LLC, Cause No. 801 2001 CV 1751 UN; In the Justice Court of Mohave County, Kingman, AZ.

Dear Ms. Stamps Lewis:

I'm sorry, I forgot to let you know that I dismissed the case.  I've been so busy, and reading the settlement papers, it looked like I couldn't possibly sign them.

I "forever discharge" any claims, whether known at this time or not, up to the date of the settlement agreement?

I agree not to sue anyone else over these matters? HUH????

I'll be liable for ANY loss by TU "in violation of this paragraph ..." (what paragraph?) and "This indemnity obligation applies even if the loss, cost, damage, attorneys' fees or judgment is based on Trans Union's own action or inaction."

Maybe I just don't understand this correctly, but considering that $250 doesn't even cover my existing expenses, I don't think it makes sense that I pay an attorney several thousand dollars to go through your settlement agreement, explain everything to me, make the appropriate changes, etc.

So I decided to dismiss the case, it really wasn't in the right court to decide on these extremely complicated matters.  I'll be filing in superior or district court once I have a little more time.

I thought you would have the dismissal mailed from the court by now, I filed it on April 18, 2002. I can fax you my copy if you like, but it's barely readable and colored paper.

Enjoy your trip!

Sincerely,

Christine Baker
